A look at common essential oils and the use of simple methods such as; diffuser use or the use of a nebulizer for inhalation. Some of these common essential oils reportedly had antiviral activity against SARS-CoV-1. As such, studying the genetic resemblance between SARS- CoV-1 and SARS-CoV-2 was looked at to examined how they can be effective against Covid-19.
Here are some common essential oils with antiviral properties that were examined: Rosemary, Tea Tree, Bergamot, Eucalyptus, Lemon balm, Thyme, Oregano, Fennel, Peppermint, Cinnamon, Clove can all be a supportive treatment strategic tool against deadly Covid-19 disease. However, further effectiveness of these essential oils against Covid-19 needs more clinical trials. Away from the essential oils therapy, immunity-boosting herbs can also be used within our daily diet for health benefits just as their centuries of ancient use and application to fight disease.
